We already wrote about Tetyana Polyakova, who was evacuated from the city of Vovchansk in May 2024.

With a severe broken arm, without any personal belongings or financial resources, she ended up in a shelter for displaced persons in Kharkiv. Tatyana sincerely thanked for the help for treatment, it gave her hope for the recovery of her health and confidence that she was not alone in her trouble. Currently, Tetyana is undergoing rehabilitation in one of the Kharkiv clinics and is preparing for a second operation. She sent a photo of what remained of her house, and of the once beautiful and cozy town of Vovchansk itself. Her apartment was on the fifth floor of the building, and now, as a result of the rocket attack, there is a cave-in up to the first floor.

Our Kharkiv TOS volunteers Yevdokia Wenger and Oleksandr Kolesnikov continue to contact her and look for opportunities to help a person in such difficult circumstances. Our TOS colleagues from America sent a letter of condolence to Tatiana and collected financial assistance for the second operation. We are sincerely grateful to our volunteers for their charitable deeds. We hope that all wounds, physical and mental, can be overcome with love and compassion.
