February, the last month of winter, this year seemed rainy, foggy, and unseasonably warm. But, despite the weather, our watch continues for 40 wounded at the hospital of the Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology of NAMSU.
This week Natalka Matros and Valentyna Pidruchna prepared hot home-made nutritious meals and packed them themselves. Lolita Beselia once again pleased with home-made pies, and she also gave haircuts to some of the wounded. Iryna Korytseva made a purchase of gastronomic products and fruits. Yuriy Ralchenko and his wife made vinaigrette. Our volunteer friends from Brussels sent sweet goodies, as well as bed linen and hygiene products, which are much needed in the care of critically ill patients. Olena Khrystenko knitted warm socks made of soft Italian wool, which are always appropriate and desirable. Yuriy Ralchenko transported all the products with his transport. Iryna and Lolita were also with him. Warm smiles and kind words warmed the hearts of patients and gave them hope and support.
Sincere heartfelt gratitude to all participants of this charity event. We also express our deep gratitude to our TOS volunteers from Ukraine and New Zealand for targeted financial support of the project. This is true Brotherhood in action.
