Sumy Region was the first to suffer from the Russian military invasion and survived several months of occupation.
Wounds are healed, people return to life, they begin to prepare for the winter period. The communal institution of the Sumy Regional Council - the Stepiv educational and rehabilitation center, currently cares for almost 80 children from 4 to 18 years of age, of which 40 are children with disabilities of various degrees. The children have started their studies, and during an air raid, they have to move to a specially equipped shelter. On the territory of the institution there is a protective civil structure, which has an area of 78 square meters. Unfortunately, there is no sufficient heating system there for the winter period. Director of the Center, Viktor Kharchenko, asked for help in purchasing heaters. After negotiations and agreements, the appropriate models and the required quantity were selected. We thank our volunteer Kristina Karpova for her help in selecting, purchasing and sending these devices to the children's institution. Many thanks also to our TOS colleagues from the Netherlands for the financial support of this project. We try take care of everything necessary for our children in such a difficult time that Ukraine is going through now.
