Assistance to migrants in Transkarpathia   

Almost from the first days of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in one of the villages of Berehiv district of Zakarpattia region, with the help of the local church and village council, a Center for Assistance to IDP (internally displaced persons) was established.

During this period, more than 300 people (mostly pensioners, women with children of different ages) from Irpin, Gorenka, Borodyanka, Gostomel, Kharkiv, Izium, Sumy, Vasylivka, Zaporizhia district, Kyiv, Nizhyn and Chernihiv found refuge in the Center. At present, more than 50 migrants live in this village.

Immigrants are provided with free accommodation, three meals a day, hygiene products, children have the opportunity to study online (there is a separate room with internet).

May 21 representatives of the TOS of the Theosophical Society of Ukraine visited the Center of migrants in the Beregovo district. We thank Christina Karpova for her service. Food products and hygiene items were purchased and delivered to provide accommodation for people who have been forced to leave their homes and are unable to return due to active hostilities.
