Help from TOS of America

American theosophists responded vividly to the events in Ukraine. We are very grateful to the General Secretary of the TS in America, Barbara Bradley Hebert, for her public speech in support of Ukraine. This post with the translation is posted on our Facebook page. TOS America Coordinator Ananya Sri Ram Rajan received from us a list of volunteer organizations that are created by our members or in which our members are directly involved. After consulting with its members, the TOS of America opted for assistance to refugees in Romania and assistance to internally displaced persons in the Lviv region. The first sums of charitable aid have already been received.

We want to tell you now about the help that was provided on March 30.

In the town of Skole, Lviv region, there is an architectural monument, the Gredel Palace. It is part of the Skole Beskydy National Park, is currently in a state of emergency, is not used, and needs restoration. But some of the premises are prepared for the reception of migrants. Today there are almost 50 people from Kharkiv, Luhansk and Donetsk regions. New migrants are expected to arrive. The volunteer organization, in which our colleague Iryna Korytseva participates, is engaged in regular deliveries of food and basic necessities to this community. The next batch of products was purchased with charitable assistance from America. Many thanks to our American friends. There are many such places in the Lviv region where migrants live. They are all waiting for our help.
