HELP TO THE RESIDENTS OF SLAVYANSKA 

Heavy fighting is going on today in the east of our country to break through the defense line around Bakhmut. It is very difficult for local residents who are forced to leave and live in poorly adapted conditions and depend on the help of other people. To meet the needs of these people, on September 23-24, two volunteers Oleksandr Dovgopol (TOS) and Oleksiy Kanygin made a volunteer trip to Slavyansk, Donetsk region. (it is 30 km from the front line, 40 km from Bakhmut), on 2 buses.

This is a joint action of the Theosophical Order of Service, the Charity Fund Nebaiduzhi.ukr, and the Public Organization "Sight Protection". Our colleagues started their volunteer activities in 2014 by organizing concerts to collect funds for everything necessary for soldiers - helmets, bulletproof vests, cars, medicine, etc., trips to the front with concerts. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the non-governmental organization "Okhorona Zoro" was created, which deals with the assistance of the Armed Forces (cars, drones, thermal imagers, etc.) and specializes in tactical medicine, vision treatment for military personnel.

From the funds of TOS, assistance was provided to internally displaced persons, mainly from Bakhmut, and domestic animals. In Slavyansk, the local Charitable Fund "Slavic Dream" takes care of the displaced people. In addition to aid, the foundation also deals with cultural programs for children - creativity, drawing, singing. 40 sets of food, hygiene products, and sweets for children were purchased and handed over to the displaced persons through the above-mentioned fund. Food for pets left without owners was also purchased and given to volunteers in frontline communities, and fuel was partially compensated.

Oleksiy also drove and presented his own VAZ car to the military. In addition, from other sources of funding, Ukrainian and foreign, aid was given to the military - canned goods, water, vegetables, trench candles, energy bars, a water cube, etc.
