ASSISTANCE FOR EQUIPMENT OF THE REHABILITATION CENTER OF THE INSTITUTE OF ORTHOPEDICS AND TRAUMATOLOGY

Cooperation of the Kyiv Theosophical Order of Service with the Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine has been going on for over a year. 

Many dedicated and highly qualified specialists work there, but the state financial support is unfortunately very limited. The U-movement Locomotor Therapy Rehabilitation Center of the Neuroorthopedic and Pain Laboratory of the Institute was created, equipped with a unique, the only operating in Ukraine high-tech device "Lokomat Pro" manufactured by the company "Hokoma" (Switzerland) for the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with a neuro-orthopedic profile. The head of the laboratory, professor, honored doctor of Ukraine Olga Yefremivna Yuryk informed us that this installation was also purchased with the funds of volunteers and caring citizens. But it was impossible to work with her fully, because it was necessary to equip wards for patients. We learned about these painful problems and began to look for opportunities to help. And now such an opportunity has come. 95 square meters of ceramic tiles were purchased with charitable funds of the Theosophical Order of Service of France to complete the renovation of the wards. Mykola and Olena Shcherbyna took care of the organization of this assistance. Great gratitude to all TOS volunteers for such service to help the seriously injured. We hope that there will be less pain and suffering in the world.
