The history of this family is amazing. Trials began with the birth of a son. Ian was born disabled.
The couple, Maria Chupinina and Yury Korolchuk, experienced all the difficulties of such a fate on their own life. And this gave them strength. 16 years ago, they adopted two-year-old Masha, who was rejected by her biological parents, and four years later, one-year-old Denis. So they set out to create a family-type children's home, they live in Kharkiv. With the beginning of the war, they became the parents of six more abandoned babies and a teenage girl. All adopted children, like their eldest son Jan, have either a disability or a disease that requires systematic treatment. Helping such a family is a matter of honor for every caring person.
Our Kharkiv volunteers Yevdokia Venger and Valentina Datsko visited the family and brought goodies. The owners welcomed us very hospitably, even the kids were smiling, the atmosphere of kindness and warmth prevails in the family, the elders take care of the little ones and do it with love. Parents care about the health of every child. The day before, mother Maria took two children to surgery at the Kyiv hospital. Baby Demyan had an eye operation, he is blind, he also has epilepsy; Nine-month-old Roman has no teeth, cannot hold his head, weighs 4.5 kg. Only their examination cost UAH 15,000. Maria and Yuriy are very grateful to our TS for the support. And we, in turn, thank our volunteers and TOS colleagues from France for the targeted financial support of this family-type Children's Home, where ten disabled children are raised. We wish this family strength and endurance in their noble cause.
