Geological evidences supporting the stages of human evolution described in the Secret Doctrine

This is the Geochronological Correlation Scale. Geologists should not wonder why certain obsolete terminology is used here. It is this very terminology that is needed for making the comparisons with the information provided by H.P. Blavatsky more than one hundred years ago. Moreover, traditional modern geologic time scale is superposed here on the sequence plot of transgressions and regressions in the Paleozoic, Mesozoic and Cenozoic eras. The sequence plot indirectly reproduces the periods of tectonic activity (foldings) on the planet, i.e. orogenic processes.

Then, in order to make the comparisons with the information concerning the human evolution presented in The Secret Doctrine, two additional columns are included into the Chart – the Root-Races and the Rounds.

Some numbers related to ages are highlighted and enlarged for easy reading.

In the Root-Races column, the extended ellipses show the beginning (the formation on Earth) and perishing of one or another Root-Race. The Root-Races co-exist for a long period of time until the next, the younger branch becomes stronger.

I had to sweat hard in determining the man's place on the modern geological time scale and for retrieving the needed information from The Secret Doctrine.

I can say that the desired result was achieved.

Earlier, I became interested in multiple findings, such as skeletons of ancient giant men as well as their footprints along with the footprints of dinosaurs. I described my first attempt in analyzing these findings in my article entitled "The Man of the Jurassic Period". However, certain dissatisfaction and feeling of incompleteness remained. At that very moment, I've jumped to the idea to apply my professional geology knowledge to analyze the information related to Anthropogenesis presented in The Secret Doctrine.

After a long-term search, the needed data was collected from The Secret Doctrine, Historical Geology with Basics of Paleontology and other books. Now, these extracts, like pieces of puzzle, are laid down into the Comparative Geologic Time Scale Chart. I felt struck by the obtained result. The periods of the Root-Races appeared out to be very closely compatible with the periods of organic evolution. It took only to look at H.P. Blavatsky's writings in an unbiased manner. Now, I will try to translate the obtained picture into words. 

THE PRECAMBRIAN ERA[1] 

Historical geology registers the evidences proving the appearance of the organic world in Precambrian sedimentary deposits. These are traces left behind by first algae, i.e. stomatolites. Their age is estimated to be from 2.6 to 2.8 billion years. However, bacteria and spores were discovered in earlier Archean sedimentary rocks of 3.0-3.7 billion years old. I would allow myself to remind you that the total age of our planet is estimated to be 4.6 billion years.

So far, this means nothing for us since there is nothing to compare with. Now, let's get evidences from the Tamil Hindu calendar presented in The Secret Doctrine which, according to H.P. Blavatsky, correspond very closely to the information contained in esoteric sources. In this calendar, the beginning of evolution (i.e. the beginning of the development of organic world within the gross matter of our Fourth Round) is dated to 1.95 billion years ago. As you see, it is almost 1.0-1.7 billion years later than the age of sedimentary stomatolite deposits discovered by geologists. This age difference disappears if we accept the fact that during the Rounds I-III (i.e. long before 1.95 billion years ago when our Fourth Round has begun), when mineral, vegetable and animal kingdoms began developing, starting with astral prototypes and achieving the maximal matter density in the middle of each round; the algae with pretty dense matter have also been developing. It is just these algae that left their traces in ancient geological periods. In order to confirm the above mentioned facts, I would add that geologists know the cases of silification of jellyfish-like species which have been petrified. This is stated in The Secret Doctrine which is saying that Nature in her work assigned first three Rounds to the creation and the development of mineral, vegetable and animal kingdoms evolving from astral forms. Even when the Fourth Round began, these were quite diffused forms yet at the beginning of the cycle which were ready and manifested themselves in its most material period starting from the Cambrian age. Moreover, only such a view on gradual materialization (solidification) of living forms allows explaining the Cambrian explosion when all animals and plants emerged simultaneously and at once.

Summarizing the above mentioned information, we will see that in this context, modern and esoteric sciences complement each other.

Let's take a look at certain geologic names. For instance, the name "Precambrian" which is also known as the "Cryptozoic Era" means the "traces of life". So indeed, we discover early traces of life in early Archean rocks.

An upper period of the Precambrian is called "the Proterozoic" which means "prototypes of life on Earth". This is how the modern science very precisely unveils the esoteric knowledge.

So, according to the Tamil Hindu calendar, our Fourth Round (there are seven Rounds in total) started during the Proterozoic period which is 1.95 billion years ago and, according to H.P. Blavatsky, closely coincides with the information provided in esoteric sources. 

Stanza I of The Secret Doctrine says the following: "The Lha which turns the fourth"; it means that everything that is written here is about our Fourth Round of evolution.

Then, Stanza II says the following: "The wheel whirled for thirty crores more. It constructed rupas: soft stones that hardened; hard plants that softened. Visible from invisible, insects and small lives..." (Volume 2, page 15)TN.

"The water-men terrible and bad she herself created from the remains of others, from the dross and slime of her first, second, and third, she formed them." (Volume 2, page 16)TN. 

Thus, after the first three Rounds and 300 million years of the Fourth Round, the evolution of Nature hit a dead end. However, in general, Nature is wise, and at that point it took more developed forms of life to intervene to this process in order to give a new impulse to further evolution on Earth. It took place in the middle of the Proterozoic Era, 300 million years since the beginning of our Fourth Round, i.e. 1.65 billion years ago according to the Tamil Hindu calendar. 

Stanza III and IV in The Secret Doctrine say the following: "The great Chohans called the Lords of the Moon, of the airy bodies. "Bring forth men, men of your nature. Give them their forms within. She will build coverings without"."; and further: "The Seven Hosts, the "Will-born Lords," propelled by the Spirit of Life-giving, separate men from themselves..." (Volume 2, pages 16-17)TN.

"First come the SELF-EXISTENT on this Earth. They are the "Spiritual Lives" projected by the absolute WILL and LAW, at the dawn of every rebirth of the worlds. These LIVES are the divine "Sishta," (...the Pitris)."  (Volume 2, page 164) TN.

"From these proceed – 1. The First Race, the "Self-born," which are the (astral) shadows of their Progenitors. The body was devoid of all understanding (mind, intelligence, and will). The inner being (the higher self or Monad), though within the earthly frame, was unconnected with it. The link, the Manas, was not there as yet." (Volume 2, page 164)TN.

Why there were no traces of water-men and the First Race found? There is a simple answer to this question: these were astral forms which were very non-material.

There is another answer to this question through. Our science, due to its intrinsic canonic views, often rejects and even destroys the thin material forms which left traces through our time. In any case, both geologists and researchers can say nothing about Water-men. But on the other hand, such a situation opens a vast space for myths, legends and fairy tales.

According to The Secret Doctrine, the evolution of life on our planet takes place in cycles which are called the Rounds. Within the each Round, the material of living forms is solidifying and the living forms are progressively developing (i.e. are becoming more sophisticated). For instance, if in the lower Precambrian the unicellular organisms and cryptogams are prevailing, in the upper Precambrian traces of mud-eaters, i.e. multicellular organisms, are discovered. However, it is a long way to reach the modern biodiversity level. Evolutionary periods are long. It took almost two billion years for only first multicellular organisms to appear.

  The First Human Race, to be more precise the astral forms which were to evolve and to become this Race, owes its origin to the Supreme Divine Law and the Will of beings evolved earlier. This reflects the act of the Supreme Mind and Will of our Ancestors (Pitri), i.e. not just a blind act of Nature. 

Humankind was created in cycles consistent with the conditions on Earth and with the emergence of new qualities of the Races themselves.

1.     Lunar Spirits[2] (the Self-Existent, i.e. Pitris belonging to the hierarchy of fourth lower classes) came to Earth and emanated astral forms. They were attracted down to Earth by the prepared conditions for the development of life as a whole and in particular of the mankind. The beginning of this process dates back to 1.65 billion years ago during the Fourth Round period.

In such a way, the First Human Race was created (very low-density prototypes). It is discussed in Stanza III-IV. The Secret Doctrine says that the Self-Existent (Pitris) are our divine progenitors. It is just using their emanated forms that the physical bodies of the future mankind are condensed. At the beginning, these bodies resemble plants with no self-awareness (self-consciousness) yet.

Then, life on our planet is developing in parallels: mineral, plant, animal and human kingdoms. Their physical forms (bodies) have been condensing accordingly. The evolution of plants and animals started long before the evolution of man, during Rounds I-III which is approximately 3.0-3.7 billion years ago; as a result, their bodies became condensed and appeared earlier in Archean sedimentary rocks.

While the solidification of astral body of the First Race was taking place, more dense ethereal shell started building around it. However, man was still unconscious.

Then, in pursuing the Divine Law, three Incorporeal Classes of Lunar Beings (Solar Pitris) are incarnating into these bodies; some of them gave only a part of their essence, the spark, and some of them did not participate in this process at all. They brought in the Living Fire and the germ of mind to the mankind which has been developing. In such a way, the Second Race was born with more dense bodies, but with still pretty primitive mind. 

The duration of the First and Second Race periods is not mentioned in The Secret Doctrine. However, based on information contained in the Tamil Hindu calendar, we can say that the evolution of the mankind started within the Fourth Round period, i.e. 1.65 billion years ago.

Each Race is developing and living according to the Karmic Law and conditions on Earth, when powerful cataclysms destroy the continents and all living things. That's why in order to determine the time limits of the Root-Races, we will use the periods of geologic catastrophes described in section untitled "Continents and Eras of Folding".

First physical footprints of a man were discovered in sandstones of the Permian Era where they were left about 300 million years ago. They should be dated to the Fourth Sub-race of the Third Race, with more dense and more material forms. Using the retrospective approach, let us determine the time periods of the Second and First Races as well as the time period of the Self-Existent in the reverse order.

The preceding cataclysm (the Caledonian Folding) took place in the late Silurian Period and during the Devonian Period about 500-420 million years ago. At that time, the Second Race gave birth to the Third Race and coexisted with it till the beginning of the Mesozoic Era.

The Second Race was born at the beginning of the Paleozoic Era during the Cambrian Period. The Second Race time period is 650-250 million years ago, starting from the beginning of the Paleozoic Era till the beginning of the Mesozoic Era, i.e. 400 million years ago.

The existence of the First Race came to an end before the beginning of the Cambrian Era at the beginning of the Paleozoic Period. Its forms acquired a new earthy shell and became an abode for the Second Race. Thus, the First Race period is 1.65-0.65 billion years ago.

The Self-Existent, i.e. our ancestors, finished the creation of the First Race and left the earthy plane at the beginning of the Paleozoic Era when the development of Baikal fold system was completed which is approximately 650 million years ago. They've been staying on Earth for 1 billion years (which is 1.65-0.65 billion years ago).   

THE PALEOZOIC ERA 

  However, let's get back to the beginning of the Paleozoic Era, when numerous remnants of almost all vertebrates appeared in the sedimentary rocks of our Fourth Round. In addition, in the Cambrian period, animals developed hard skeleton. The density of human bodies remains pretty low yet since their development will start much later.

As in the Precambrian Era, organic life in the Paleozoic Era conformed to sea living conditions. The world of plants was represented by numerous and diverse algae. The animal world was pretty developed: poorly segmented trilobites account for 60% of Cambrian fauna; there were archaeocyatheans inhabiting warm shallow seas; remnants of mollusks, crustaceans, echinoderms, worms etc. were also found.

Such an abundance of life species in the Cambrian period is called the Cambrian explosion. Organic life began developing so actively after the completion of Baikal fold system in the late Precambrian period followed by the development of favorable warm climate and by the formation of landmass, i.e. first continents.

It is possible to speculate that between the Proterozoic and Paleozoic era at the beginning of the Cambrian period 700-650 million years ago at the time of formation of Baikal fold system, an event took place which gave a new impulse to the development of life. Usually, the beginning of tectonic movements on the Earth is associated with cosmic effects (it can be the intensive Solar activity) and with increasing stresses within the planet's crust. All these events indicate that powerful energy impact was produced on all living things both in subtle (astral) and material (physical) plane. That's why every planetary tectonic activity is a sign of changes in the organic life on Earth. Tectonic folding processes are much more complicated in visible (material) and invisible (subtle, astral and etheric planes) spheres.

Then, the evolution proceeds under increasingly more material conditions. The emergence of new life forms is speeding up. The density and size of plants and animals increase. Therefore, we can say that it is exactly during the Cambrian period when the Second Race began developing and that in the middle of Paleozoic Era (from the end of the Silurian Period through the beginning of the Devonian Period) this Race was mostly destroyed by the next cataclysm period called the Caledonian Orogeny. It took place 500-420 million years ago.

During this period, the Second Race acquired an ethereal shell and received a new impulse to Life (Living Fire) from three Supreme Classes of Lunar hierarchy (Solar Angels). Moreover, it acquired the germ of mind and brought in the new representatives of the mankind, i.e. the Third Race. The Second and the Third Races still coexisted till the beginning of the Mesozoic Era: one of them is degenerating (dying), another is becoming more numerous, growing in the material mass (solidifying) and developing mentally (within the limits of animal mind available).

Finally, the Second Race was destroyed by the next Hercynian orogeny cataclysm (from the end of the Permian period through the beginning of the Triassic period, 350-230 million years ago). This cataclysm gave a new impulse to life development.

Information about the reproduction of the Second Race is abundantly and in details presented in The Secret Doctrine. The only thing that I may add is that the cases of the appearance of astral ethereal double are known also today. They are pronounced during the manifestation of poltergeist and are described in details in studies by G. Durville in his book untitled "Le Fantôme des Vivants" (French; in English: "The Phantom of the Living").

So, the Third Root-Race was developed in the middle of the Paleozoic Era, after the Caledonian cataclysm had destroyed almost all representatives of the second Root-Race. 

THE MESOZOIC ERA 

According to The Secret Doctrine, in the Mesozoic Era, human material footprints have already been more numerous and associated with the Third Race.

The Third Race men had more condensed bodies. They had developed astral body and a physical body embryo inside the organism, and they were protected by ethereal shell from outside. At the beginning, the Third Race beings were asexual. If the first sub-race beings were gelatinous jellyfish-like substance, the next beings, especially of the fourth sub-race, have already become stronger because of the bones they developed. It is just this period of their development that started at the beginning of the Mesozoic Era after the Hercynian cataclysm.

The mankind of the Third Root-Race traveled a long road of transformations. However, my goal is not to repeat information presented in The Secret Doctrine, but to demonstrate and to match the development of organic life with the evolution of a mankind. Part of information concerning the Third Race has already been earlier included in chapter entitled "The Man of Jurassic Period". Numerous findings and facts proving the existence of man in a very distant past periods are discussed there. These very evidences urged me to continue examining the evolution on Earth in general and to combine the data of scientific researches in geology with information presented in The Secret Doctrine.

So, according to The Secret Doctrine, the main period of the Third Race (the Lemurian) is dated to the Mesozoic Era which is the age of the dinosaurs (250-66 million years ago). However, the first representatives of this Race appeared earlier, in the Hercynian folding period of the upper Paleozoic Era, in the late Carboniferous Age and at the beginning of the Permian Age which is 350-230 million years ago; and it was a major event taking place between the Paleozoic and Mesozoic Era. At the end of the Second Race period, three Incorporeal Classes of Lunar Beings (Solar Pitris) are incarnating into human bodies; some of them gave only a part of their essence, the spark, and some of them did not participate in this process at all. They endowed the developing mankind with the Living Fire and germ of mind. The Third Race is developing fast having been endowed with new mind potential and having being received new life impulse. The Second Race is fading away quickly.

Under the new conditions shaped at the beginning of the Mesozoic Era, the Third Race becomes prevailing not only in human kingdom, but also as a highest animal form possessing a germ of mind. Its form and size is consistent with existing animal forms. They do no possess self-consciousness and are guided by instinct like all animals. However, these are already more sophisticated species able to think like the highest animal species and to win a fight for life. With time, their bodies become denser; their reproduction mode also changes: they become oviparous.

At that time, fishes (sharks, rays), loricates and crossopterygians are widely spread throughout animal kingdom.

Following the formation of vast continents, plants and animals started invading the land. Scorpions, myriapods, first amphibians (stegocephalians) are already found on land. In plant kingdom, licopodiums, horsetails and ferns are identified. In the middle of the Devonian Period, forests are appearing.

The development of plant and animal kingdom is described in details in chapter entitled "The Organic World".

Climate starts changing to become dry and hot causing the extinction of the majority of Paleozoic species; the niche left vacant is filled in by new plant and animal species; in addition, at that time, there are already two large continents present on the planet: Laurasia in the north and Gondwana in the south; they are separated by vast ocean spaces – the Pacific and the Mediterranean.

In the mid-Mesozoic Era during the Jurassic Period, the next cataclysm took place, i.e. the Cimmerian orogeny, which started 200 million years ago and lasted till 135 million years ago.

Then, the major event happened in the development of the Third Race and all the mankind: the appearance of men endowed with mind and self-consciousness. At that time, there were immense reptiles-dinosaurs armed with huge teeth, armors, horns etc. already living on Earth. Their size was up to 25-30 meters, they weighted 40-50 tons. Huge ichthyosaurs and plesiosaurs commanded the sea. First birds and flying reptiles (pterodactyls) appeared in the air. Mammals started to appear.

What was the mankind like at that time? The Cimmerian cataclysm caused the shift towards the new life changes. It was a drastic leap in the evolution of the Third Race. The highest sacrifice and implementation of the Supreme Will by intelligent beings from previous Manvantars, who endowed us with self-consciousness, i.e. gave us a part of their own essence which is mind, changed all course of mankind's evolution on Earth.

Later, this sacrifice by our Saviours was distorted, slandered and trampled underfoot which is still being continued. Who is doing this? It is a greedy, malicious animal inside each of us which has not been conquered by the Supreme Will yet.

 However at that time, there were dinosaurs and cataclysms raging over the planet. So, he was barefooted, but already the Homo sapience. It is at that time, when we were granted a hope not to stay animal forever, but to become a Man one day.

The Secret Doctrine declares that the Lemurians did not take advantage of their privileges immediately. However, in the sixth sub-race, they are already building their first rock-cities made of stone and lava.

These changes were preceded by one more event. The nature of the Third Race has changed also. They converted from oviparous to become hermaphrodites, i.e. androgynous, and then, they finally transformed to become two sexes and started reproducing themselves by sexual reproduction. These changes have been developing during many millions of years. However, by the end of their period, the Third Race gave birth to two distinct sex species, i.e. the Fourth Root-Race. 

"THEY BUILT TEMPLES FOR HUMAN BODY. MALE AND FEMALE THEY WORSHIPPED. THEN THE THIRD EYE ACTED NO LONGER." (Volume 2, page 271)TN.

"Such were the first truly physical men, whose first characteristic was – pride ! It is the Third Race and the gigantic Atlanteans, the memory of whom lingered from one generation and race to another generation and race down to the days of Moses, and which found an objective form in those antediluvian giants, those terrible sorcerers and magicians, of whom the Roman Church has preserved such vivid and at the same time distorted legends." (Volume 2, pages 271-272)TN.

"Those children of Heaven and Earth were endowed at their birth by the Sovereign Powers, the authors of their being, with extraordinary faculties both moral and physical. They commanded the Elements, knew the secrets of heaven and the earth, of the sea and the whole world, and read futurity in the stars... It seems, indeed, as though one has to deal, when reading of them, not with men as we are but with Spirits of the Elements sprung from the bosom of Nature and having full sway over her...  All these beings are marked with a character of magic and sorcery...." (Volume 2, page 285)TN.

"And so they were, those (now) legendary heroes of the pre-historic, still, once really existing races." (Volume 2, page 285)TN. 

Horrible Alpine orogeny cataclysm which took place about 66 million years ago at the end of the Mesozoic Era through the beginning of the Cenozoic Era destroyed the continent and almost all Lemurians. All huge size animals perished with them at that time. This cataclysm opened a new evolution round, i.e. the Cenozoic Era, which is the age of mammals and which gave birth to the Fourth Root-Race, the Atlantean Race known to us by the name of their continent called "Atlantis". 

"FALLEN ANGELS" 

Now, let's get back to that ancient time, when in the middle of the Third Root-Race of Lemurians an animal man became the man, i.e. the man endowed with self-conscious mind. This issue has already been touched upon briefly, when we were taking about the altruistic sacrifice by the Supreme Spiritual Beings who provided us with the opportunity to overcome the barrier between animal and human being. These were the Beings who endowed us with Mind, self-consciousness ability and ability to achieve the Supreme Divine Worlds by our own forces; the Beings, who showed us the way to further evolution leading us from animal to a Man-God; these Lords of Spiritual Life Eternal were humiliated and were called Opponents of God, Rebels, Fallen Angels; and their Archangel, light Radian Angel, was called Satan.

Since we are the followers of The Secret Doctrine and Esoteric Wisdom which means that we are direct heirs of the above mentioned Lords, we will            elucidate this issue and will recall those, who, like Prometheus, by their pure aspirations even today are inseparably linked with us. 

I would remind you, that "the fall" we are talking about took place in the middle of the Third Root-Race. By that time, the mankind has traveled over a long way of evolution of the first two and a half Races (the First Race, the Second Race and half of the Third Race). At the beginning, there were astral forms emanated by our Lunar Progenitors. Then, in the Second Race period, these astral forms became covered (coated) by ethereal shells (bodies formed on Earth). In the Third Race, human bodies became more dense and more physically material. At the beginning, they were asexual and reproduced themselves with the help of secreted moisture (by gemmation, and later by oviparity); then, they converted from oviparous to different sexes which in a while developed and started reproducing themselves by sexual reproduction. The transformations were taking place in animal and plant worlds also. It is safe to say that the man of that period was highly sophisticated unconscious animal of huge size; therefore men were able to fight fierce carnivorous animals, such as dinosaurs.

Everything would have remained as it was, and animal man would have never become Homo sapience, but The Secret Doctrine says that since the beginning of Manvantara cycle, every atom on our planet tends to become man, i.e. the Law of evolution is guiding spiritual, psychic and physical evolution. That's why animals achieving in their development the level of man are endowed with a new life impulse: the Mind. It happened 135 million years ago, in the Jurassic Period which was the golden age of dinosaurs. 

"The supposed "rebels," then, were simply those who, compelled by Karmic law to drink the cup of gall to its last bitter drop, had to incarnate anew, and thus make responsible thinking entities of the astral statues projected by their inferior brethren. Some are said to have refused, because they had not in them the requisite materials – i.e., an astral body – since they were arupa. The refusal of others had reference to their having been Adepts and Yogis of long past preceding Manvantaras; another mystery. But, later on, as Nirmanakayas, they sacrificed themselves for the good and salvation of the Monads which were waiting for their turn, and which otherwise would have had to linger for countless ages in irresponsible, animal-like, though in appearance human, forms." (Volume 2, page 94)TN.

            "The Sons of mahat are the quickeners of the human Plant. They are the Waters falling upon the arid soil of latent life, and the Spark that vivifies the human animal. They are the Lords of Spiritual Life eternal..." (Volume 2, page 103)TN.   

According to Esoterics, it was a sacrifice for the sake of the mankind. That's why it's natural to consider "Rebels" or "Opponents" to be the saviours of the mankind as well as their Archangel Satan or Lucifer who conferred on us Spiritual, instead of Physical Immortality.

When Sons of Wisdom (Sons of Mahat or Mind) arrive, the history of the mankind transforms. Animal man becomes Homo sapience. What do you think, where the missing link between the two should be looked for, if all this process, like all previous development (evolution of the Monad* in mineral, plant, animal and human planes), takes place "behind closed doors" in invisible subtle astral life plane. *"Monad" means "soul".

Not immediately, but in the sixth sub-race the Lemurians build their first cities. They became aware of their unity with the Supreme, with Gods. They are omniscient and they are guided by Gods themselves. It makes them feel extremely proud which is the quality of the first beings endowed with mind. Their bodies are huge and beautiful. They are Divine!

Gradually, the growing proud and sameness and also increasingly solidifying bodies break their link with the Supreme Beings. The third eye stops functioning. The mankind accumulates negative karma. Supreme-Gods are walking away leaving to men decide by themselves what is good and what is bad.

 By the end of this Race period, sexual reproduction has established. Androgynous (hermaphrodites) divide to become two creatures, i.e. man and woman. They gave birth to the Fourth Root-Race – the Atlanteans.

On the one side, the mankind endowed with mind gets broadest opportunities. However, on the other side, we are, at the cost of our personal efforts, to become a Man-God after having made a journey traversing eons of periods of our psychic and spiritual evolution.

Man was created out of "dust"; however, in order to become God, imperishable (Supreme) should come out of perishable, i.e. to get rid of physical by going through all steps of suffering, being, by turns, plant, animal, man. During the stage of man, his monad (soul), under the influence of Mahat, is wending its way (is being drawn) to improvement.

It is already for many eons, that our Saviours are helping us to find a way to Supreme. At most difficult times, they come down to Earth again and are setting us in the right way. Their sacrifice, the sacrifice of ever-loving Messengers is not apprehended yet, especially by Christianity.

People made up numerous legends about their Saviours, and the legend about Prometheus is one of them: "...Who steals the divine fire so as to allow men to proceed consciously on the path of spiritual evolution, thus transforming the most perfect of animals on earth into a potential god, and making him free to "take the kingdom of heaven by violence." Hence also, the curse pronounced by Zeus against Prometheus, and by Jehovah-Il-da-Baoth against his "rebellious son," Satan" (Volume 2, page 244).TN.

"...burning in the fierce flames of his terrestrial passions; the conflagration fired by his Thought, discerning as it now does good from evil, and yet a slave to the passions of its earthly Adam; feeling the vulture of doubt and full consciousness gnawing at its heart – a Prometheus indeed, because a conscious, hence a responsible entity..." (Volume 2, page 244)TN. 

Now, our Heavenly saviours, like Prometheus, are chained to material mankind (to the rock of Matter) until the mankind becomes perfect. This karmic connection is caused by the Supreme Divine Law and their Free Will. It will be transferred to us, heirs of Prometheus.

- Self-Existent and Pitris appeared on Earth 1.650 billion years ago in the upper Proterozoic Era; ("...The Commentary... of the succession of Races... say(s): "First come the SELF-EXISTENT on this Earth. They are the "Spiritual Lives" projected by the absolute WILL and LAW, at the dawn of every rebirth of the worlds. These LIVES are... the seed-Manus, or... the Pitris).” (Volume 2, page 164)TN. 

- The development of the First and Second Human Races started from them 1.650 billion years ago in the Upper Proterozoic Era and was completed in the late Paleozoic, the Primary Period, 250 million years ago. Initial human races did not leave behind any traces since their bodies were very subtle and ether-like  ("Neither the heterogeneity of ambient regions, full of deleterious gases, nor the perils of a crust hardly consolidated, could prevent the First and Second Races from making their appearance even during the Carboniferous, or the Silurian age itself." (Volume 2, page 150)TN. "The First Race, the “ Self-born,” which are the (astral) shadows of their Progenitors. The body was devoid of all understanding (mind, intelligence, and will)... The link, the Manas, was not there as yet. From the First (race) emanated... the Second Root-Race, endowed by... the incarnating gods (Asuras and the Kumâras) with the first primitive and weak spark (the germ of intelligence)..." - The Third Root-Race appears in the Devonian Period 500-420 million years ago. ("...Man must be made the contemporary of the Pterodactyl and the Plesiosaurus." (Volume 2, page 206)TN. "Pterodactyls and Plesiosauri ceased to exist with the bulk of the Third Race." (Volume 2, page 206-207)TN. "Secondary Epoch. Triassic, Jurassic, Chalk. This is the age of Reptiles, of the gigantic Megalosauri, Ichthyosauri, Plesiosauri, etc." (Volume 2, page 713)TN. This is the most remarkable race because it is them who pass through complex life stages evolve from ethereal astral forms to dense forms. And in the middle of the period of its development, when ethereal forms were condensed and when man and woman species began being born, animal men were endowed with mind and were shaped to become the self-conscious mankind ("Man... during the first three Rounds and the first two and a half races of the present one ... – is, so far, only an animal intellectually." At the end of their period, in their 6th and 7th sub-races, they evolve from asexual form to become two sexes and give birth to the Fourth Root-Race. They perished during cataclysms which destroyed their continent about 66 million years ago. 

- The Fourth Race appeared in the middle of the Chalk Period and is developing in parallel with men of the Third Race. At the beginning, they were giants ("The Third race has now almost utterly disappeared, carried away by the fearful geological cataclysms of the Secondary age, leaving behind it but a few hybrid races. The Fourth, born millions of years before the said cataclysm took place, perishes during the Miocene period, when the Fifth (our Aryan race) had one million years of independent existence." "...Primeval humanity had at first an ethereal – or, if so preferred, a huge filamentoid, jelly-like form, evolved by gods or natural "forces," which grew, condensed throughout millions of ages, and became gigantic in its physical impulse and tendency, until it settled into the huge, physical form of the Fourth Race Man." The main period of the Forth Race is the Cenozoic Era, the Tertiary period which lasted for over 66 million years (end of the Chalk Period, the Paleogene, the Neogene). It perished at the end of the Miocene (the Neogene) over 5 million years ago in result of cataclysms ("...In the Eocene Age "even in its very first part, the great cycle of the fourth race men, the Atlanteans had already reached its highest point" (Volume 2, page 717)TN, "...up to the Miocene, when the bulk of the Fourth Race was submerged." Volume 2, page 156)TN. The race and the continent received their names "Atlanteans" and "Atlantis" according to their modern location and the name of one of their minor last branches. That here is described - basically compilation from the various specified sources and a little bit vision esoteric questions of the author. For this writing there have been used­ many endurances from «The Secret Doctrine» by H.P.Blavatsky, modern geological representations about the history of our planet and other popular materials. Its central part - the Comparative geochronological table is the main information which the author would like to express and, as you can see,­  is not verbal. We will simply tell - in Mesozoic, in Jurassic Period­ together with dinosaurs there lived people.
